Shorter in length than 6th gen |

I ordered the 6th gen lights first and although they're compatible it was a little too long for my map lights & was hitting the cover which disabled them from being clicked on & off. The tiny difference between the 5th and 6th gen solved that problem and this one fits perfectly on my 2017 Honda CR-V. Loving the bright white lights!!

Get a brighter white light for less than the cost of replacement conventional bulbs |

11/3/2016 update: One started to flicker so I replaced it. 4/17/2016 update: All still work perfectly. --- These are pretty good. I browsed around for this type of light for nearly a month before buying these. I don't have any regrets about choosing these. I was initially worried about them fitting since they are larger than the little incandescent bulb you are replacing. I had zero fitment issues with a 2008 Subaru Forester. I included a picture showing the two bulbs next to each other. These are much brighter than the 192 incandescent bulbs I replaced. I think they are a perfect brightness. They are a good clean white light. They appear to be around 5400k. It is a very noticable difference. Dull yellow to bright white. Keep the lights off when you are changing the bulbs. The bulb you are replacing gets hot enough to burn your fingers. These install just like the conventional bulb with one difference. Plug the new LED bulb in and then go turn on the lights. If it does not come on you need to flip the bulb. The polarity matters with these LEDs. Once you know you have that correct you can go ahead and install it back into the housing and do the same for the other bulbs you are replacing.

    very bright |

For those of you coming from a 194, 168, or 192 bulb, these are about 4x brighter and draw about 1/4 the power. They are a nice clean color temp, making the interior look awesome! Great 360 degree light coverage. Non of these bulbs have fallen out of the socket. All the diodes in these LEDs light up about the same time with a tiny amount of voltage, so these are quality LEDs. Like other reviews, i notice that these are a little longer that a regular bulb, so that is why i removed one star. I did have to bend/modify some of the light fixtures on a 02 Lincoln LS that i installed these into. But i got them all in. They are polarized, so just flip them around if they don't work one way. Also no CAN bus on the interior light on this car, so no CAN compatibility on these are fine. They do fade in/out with the gradient courtesy lights nicely. Some of these lights glow for several minutes after they are turned off because of a Solid-State switch that controls these lights, and they will show even a tiny amount of current. All LEDs without capacitors are very sensitive to voltage fluctuations, and these do flicker/dim when doing different functions on the car that put a load on the electrical system. Normal. I used 9 of these on one car, so i have one spare. Perfect.

    2003 Tacoma License Plate |

2003 Toyota Tacoma Xtra Cab - 2.7L - 4x4 - 5spd License plate light - approx. 50% brighter. Unfortunately, with the Tacoma, the light housing is non-reflective black. Lots of light is lost inside the housing. Without the housing these lights are blinding to look at and about 10x brighter than my reverse lights. With the black housing, only the single top LED illuminates the license plate. Contemplating the 7th generation model. front marker light - now my front marker lights can seem brighter than 2 year old Sylvania Xtra-vision head light bulbs... Would likely rather have an amber colored light up here, if I did it again. These things are bright! I literally cannot imagine them in dash lights, inside the vehicle. They would be awesome for door lights when you open your door. Wish I had those. Edit: I have now installed them as dash lights. They are behind covers of course. My 1st gen tacoma takes 4x 194 bulbs for the speedo, tac, fuel. It is noticably brighter, but not unreasonable. The lights are dimable with the stock knob. I have not driven at night with it as my car needed to have a check engine light fixed :( I also have a bunch of other bulbs on the guages back there... not sure what kind. Looks like #74 or neowedge t4. They are responsible for turn signals, seat belt light, check engine light, etc.

    Love them!! |

I purchased generic brand LED bulbs for the interior of my 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix. they lasted about a year and the flickering started. I shopped around and I came across these Yorkim bulbs and decided to give them a shot. I was instantly impressed with the components quality of these bulbs, I attached picture to compare next to my old bulbs. They are way brighter than I expected and they gave my car a crisp clean look. Will be installing these bulbs on my 2005 GMC yukon map lights. I will write a follow up review in about a year with the progress of these bulbs.

    Too blue.. |

They are *slightly* brighter than stock. Don't expect miracles. If you like a blue white light then these are OK. If I had to guess these are about 6000 Kelvin (possibly higher). But if you like a white that skews toward the warmer spectrum closer to a stock incandescent then look elsewhere. Also the CRI isn't very high for this 5050 LED and it shows. Color renditioning is important if you want a color to look right under the light. e.g. if there are closely related color they might be hard to distinguish. Also for my 2016 Fiesta ST, This bulb doesn't stick out in the far enough for the front map lights and 3 out of the 5 LED were rendered useless because they were hidden.
