Great product, great customer service. |

I've had this product for a couple of weeks. I have it full with 21 of the standard 750 mL bottles and there is no issue with fit. The unit is quiet- I can hear it when it is cycling but is a very low level of noise (I'm hearing a fan in the back and it is like low level white noise, ie doesn't change therefore not really noticeable). I have the upper zone set to 58 degrees and the lower zone at 55 degrees. After a week, I checked the temperature of the bottles using an Extech IR thermometer and found the bottles in the top to be 60 degrees and the bottom bottles to be 58 degrees. I checked three different times of the day and found similar results. I set the temp therefore about 3 degrees cooler to compensate. After I did this I decided to check the accuracy of the IR thermometer and found that it has a deviation of +/- 3.5 degrees (from the literature) so it is very possible that the thermometer was off that much instead of the unit, or some combination. I'll place another thermometer in the unit to check this again, but the point here is that it is very consistent. Since there is no seal at the front to separate the upper an lower zones I am surprised to see an actual temperature difference, but that may be in part to the lower temperature being set on the lower zone, which is where I would expect colder air to naturally go. On a customer service note: I did not attach the door handle right away and thus either I lost the attachment screws or they were not in the package. I wrote to customer service and explained this and simply asked for the screw length and thread size and advised them I would just pick this up locally. The responded by sending me a replacement set of screws even though I did not ask for them to do this. This is what customer service should be like. Overall, I love the unit. It looks nice; and does what it is supposed to do. Would I buy another? Nope- it's too small and now I have more wine I wanted to store than I thought (but that's my problem and has nothing to do with the unit) So I would get one larger. Would I recommend this unit? Yes, I don't believe that I could have been more satisfied with anything else at this price.

    Good product |

I purchased this based upon its general review rating, size and price. The wood racks come unfinished. I stained them to match my cabinets and clear coated them. It made the whole thing more 'expensive' feeling. The racks are thin, but are substantial for their purpose. This unit was installed under a counter, but I had to do some simple ducting so it wouldn't recirculate on itself. I've had it for about 2 months now. It's holding the temp to within 1 degree of my thermometer. It is slow to recover its temp, but I think that's the nature of the cooling system. The manual says it draws 70 watts. It fits standard bottles fine and some odd shaped ones too. You can always remove a rack if you get a large bottle. The lights can be turned off if you want. Also, the manual clearly states that the unit comes with a 3 year I wouldn't buy the extended warranty they try and sell you. I did, then returned it since the manufacturer offers the same.

Happy with my purchase after 1 week but do not expect to put any champagne/sparkling/over-sized bottles in this fridge without removing the shelf above. Narrow design is only designed for traditional 750ml bottles of wine.

    For the homebrewer |

I purchased this model specifically as a fermenting chamber for homebrewing beer. Overall, I am satisfied with this unit because there were no modifications necessary. It does not have a compressor hump, so there is adequate room to securely fit a 6 gallon better bottle fermentor with the air lock and blow off tube attached. Another positive is that it comes with a thermostat that regulates constant temperatures in the ale and lager ranges. No need to buy a thermostat control system or wire rigging. It is also very quiet. When it kicks on, it sounds like a ceiling fan on the low setting. The wine cooler also looks great in my opinion. Aesthetically exceeds all expectations, especially when considering the price. Now for the negatives. First of all, the temperature that is displayed is not to be trusted. It is completely worthless. A reliable thermostat must be purchased and placed in the unit. The thermostat adjuster is also quirky and inconviently designed. The unit holds temps well, but the thermostat will sometimes adjust to different temps on its own. The thermostat is also located inside the unit, and can not be accessed without opening the doors. Another bummer is that the top temp is 64. I like to have my ale fermenting temps warmer towards or in the 70s at the end of its cycle, but that is not an option here. I could only get this unit down to 52 degrees, but that works well enough for my laggering purposes. Another negative to consider is that only one beer can be fermented at a time. This could potentially cease any brew-a-thon planning if there are no other fermenting chamber options avaliable. Overall I recommend this unit for fermenting ales and lagers. The price is comparable to purchasing a mini fridge and thermostat controller, but does not need to be modified.

Many bottles are too big to fit |

I think that an appliance designed expressly for the purpose of storing wine really ought to have shelves sized to accommodate wine bottles.

Waste of a product. Now it's hard as hell to put this back in the box to ship it back. Cannot even hold a Champagne bottle

Fits normal wine bottles perfectly but wide bodied wine bottles do not fit very well. Visual appearance is great from what friends and family have said.

Doesn't get any colder than 54 degrees. I always have to transfer my whites to the other wine frig I have with dual controls.

It's very thing as stated in the description. Works great. No problem with standard wine bottles. Looks great with the blue lights at night.

    Sleek Look, Works Well |

After much research we are happy with this choice. It looks good, has an efficient footprint and we can easily check our thermometer through the clear glass door.

Everything is fine with this cooler. It came as advertised and is working quite well chilling my wine bottles in my kitchen.
