    Great thread |

Ok, I'm not a seamstress, nor do I have any textile knowledge or experience. Just a housewife who likes to repair rather than throw things away. I've loved using this thread for repairing torn lingerie laundry bags, Exfoliator shower mits, or other household items that take a beating during use, & requiring a strong thread.

Just what I needed to finish a job! |

Ran out of white thread in the middle of a home project and couldn't get to a supply shop. Was surprised and delighted to find Upholstery grade thread on Amazon! Exact material and weight I needed! Perfect for heavier sewing jobs.

    Great Tough Nylon Thread! |
    Verified Purchase

Good tough thread, worked like a charm! I used it to sew outdoor fabric swing canopy. I used an 18 jean needle and lowered the tension on my Babylock. It worked great and ran smoothly. I realized that when you wind this thread onto a bobbin you won't get as much as usual on the bobbin so wind at least 2 before you start. Or like I did, had to stop and wind another bobbin full. I really like the thread it will definitely be used on other projects make.

Challenging to use in my sewing machine |

I bought this for sewing together nylon webbing in some projects. I tried sewing through two layer of webbing, and the thread frayed. I tried another brand and style of webbing with the same result. Then I tried sewing through some thin nylon fabric, and the thread still frayed in the needle. I tried 10, 14, and 16 mm needles. It was rare for me to get 3" to 6" of stitching before the thread split frayed and tangled. ------------------------- After someone commented on my review, I tried a #18 needle, and also adjusted the tension on the thread. The issue with frayed thread seems to be resolved. I'm still only giving the product 3 stars, due to the challenges setting it up for use. The webbing is also breaking at the point where I've stitched two layers together, not in the single layer sections (when stressed to failure in testing). I've decide to keep the product, rather than trying to return the 1490 yards (or so) left on the spool. This may be a good product for you, and I no longer feel it's a terrible product for me. I'm changing my review from 1 to 3 stars. I can see how someone else might have a 5 star experience with this product. I initially had a 1 star experience. Currently I think 3 is fair.

    Very thin |

I have been using Coats & Clarks nylon upholstery thread for quite a while now and was looking for something in a larger package to save from numerous trips to Wal-mart. I thought I had found it in this product since it was said to be nylon and was listed with upholstery as one of it's uses. It's very thin and I'm not sure how well it would hold up to actual upholstering anything. It seems like it would break easily and knot (Coats & Clarks is coated and doesn't knot.) Dissappointed in this product.

I use this for sewing nylon webbing. It worked great. I also used it to reattach the sole of my girlfriends house shoe. Nice and durable.

I don't understand the 5 star reviews. This supposed bonded nylon thread arrived with the end of the thread frayed. I cut off the frayed end and to my astonishment the strand just began to unravel and unravel and wouldn't stop. How is this possible? Where is the bonded coating? I just can't believe this!

Outdoor canopy thread works great. |

This sewed beautifully on my Viking #1 plus. I kept 10 bobbins filled and sewed canopies and new seat cushions for my and my sister's outdoor swings. I made no tension adjustments. I used a thread pro thread holder on the side, which is essentially a wooden base with a 2 penny nail inserted and a rod that is bent that the thread goes under smoothly, I placed a bobbin on this bend and a rubber band to stop the thread from looping off the bend, and the thread guide on the back of the machine.

    Strong threat |

The thread is very strong. I used it to sew a boat strap so I needed a strong thread. The spool is large and didn't fit on my machine. I have a serger next to my machine and put the thread on the serger then threaded my other machine. I added a photo of the two machines to give an idea of the size of the spool and the strap being sewn. And my cat helping me!

    Great product and price. |

Great product. This thread is extremely strong. It is even better than I expected. It shipped the day I ordered it and I received it in record time. The 1500 yards is a great buy for the money and will last a long time. No more small spools for me.
