    Exceptional Thread - a Must Buy |

This is Excellent high strength outdoor thread. It is UV resistant and very strong. 150 yards goes a very long way. I used it to repair nylon canvas for my cot with a sewing awl and it worked great. I used the Speedy Stitcher sewing awl (B00NO4B9Z4) and it worked great. My palm didn't hurt at all after all those punches - it's bigger bulb handle distributes the pressure in a larger area. I tested the repair area by trying break the stitching and this thread is amazingly strong. As a matter of fact, I tried breaking the thread with my hands and stopped for the fear of cutting my skin. I bought the black and white spool and I'm using to repair buttons on my shirts and jackets. This should last well beyond the life of the fabric. It's slightly thicker than regular polyester thread but the durability is worth it. The nice thing about this synthetic thread is that I melt the loose ends with a lighter and crimp with pliers to prevent unraveling (practice before doing actual sewing) You have to buy a spool of this stuff in both black and white. You'll wonder why you never used it before. I bought an extra spool for my bug out bag - its got tons of uses (repair fabric, fishing line, snare line etc) BTW, if you want to build an Emergency Micro Screwdriver, Sewing Awl, X-acto Knife set, get the following: Commando Precision Pocket Screwdriver (B004FGF6N6), Speedy Stitcher #4 Needle (B00B22101S), #11 x-acto blades pack of 5(B00B22101S). The Needle and x-acto blades fits perfectly in the screwdriver cavity. I recommend to spend a few extra bucks and get the x-acto x3311 which comes with the knife handle and six #11 blades total (B0000DD1N4).

    Guys can sew too |

I am a guy that repairs a lot of his own stuff. This nylon thread has repaired holsters, boat shoes, and even the eyes on my spinning rod. Great stuff. The best part is terminating the thread with a solid knot and then leaving a 3/32" end which is then singed with a BIC lighter to eliminate the loose end and simultaneously ensure the knot won't unravel under heavy use. Great product. Get a needle and go to work !

    Strong and durable. |

I purchased this so that I could hand make some fabric planters. I was surprised when it worked great in my sewing machine without special needles. It seems to be holding up great for the projects I have used it for.

strong and sturdy and easy to work with |

Great product. I got it to stitch the leather steering wheel cover on my 2005 Nissan murano. it worked very well. strong and sturdy and easy to work with. didt have any of the problems that i had with two other brands that I used before. they frayed and were hard to tie at the ends and one of them kept unwiding after each time tied it. it was some kind of nylon. this one solved both my problems and is also very sturdy. the leather cover barely fit so I had to pull super hard and put a lot of pressure on the tread. recommended.

    HEAVY DUTY THREAD |
    Verified Purchase

This thread is not as thick as I expected, compared to very old spools of heavy duty thread I'm running out of. But so far, it seems to be working fine. Maybe, with today's technology & materials, thicker isnt necessarily stronger.

    Great thread good price. |

It is strong thread alright. Not much thicker then regular thread so if you are needing this for outdoor stuff I would get somethign else. I will use it eventually and the price was right as an add-on item.

This is good, strong thread |

This is good, strong thread. Even if you can find cotton thread, it's wimpy in comparison. Just forget polyester, no strength at all. This is the real thing.

    very strong thread. |

The thread moves smoothly through the sewing machine. Very strong and is holding up great on the material used. Has gone through a couple of wash cycles and no sign of discoloration.
