when in doubt - go natural |
    Verified Purchase

I purchased this product because I was tired of white, the glaring white material that seems to be everywhere. This natural color was great, it fit into my project and let the main fabric be show to its best. I loved this fabric, it was high quality, easy to cut and sew,and easy on the eyes. If you are looking for something that will accent your project but not take over, this is it.

    Not 2 yards |

The material was of good quality, and exactly what I was looking for; however, the piece that I got was not 2 yards. It was at least 4" short.

Great fabric for any project, even toy making. |

My friends laugh at me when they come into my sewing room. The 2 yards of muslin is sort of folded up on top of my shelf and when they say 2 yards they mean it. It's a solid 2 yards. I suggest laying it out and cutting it in half. LOL. I might have to do that since it looks nasty perched up on my shelf in all its 2-yard glory. GREAT fabric. Excellent quality. I make toys with mine. No problems and I can use fabric paint on it - perfect finish. GREAT price too. Will last me quite some time.

    Very good quality. |

I bought this for craft projects. It is a thin material but VERY well woven. It is very flexible and not stiff. Would highly recommend.

Buy this instead of a pressing cloth. |

This is the type of thing that a sewer needs in their arsenal of things to have. A must have for a professional look with ironing and protect the fabric. Just buy this instead of cloth that states it is "ironing cloth" as they cost a ridiculous amount of money and a lot of them are made from mesh and not cotton so they melt at high heat and ALWAYS leave impressions. Another idea is use a cotton pillow case, or buy one at a discount store. I just did not have one to use. This is also sheer enough to see though somewhat, so a perfect substitute.

    Amazing quality for muslin!!!! |

This is great muslin and actually such high quality I used a lot of it for non-pattern purposes like pillow cases, curtains. It's smooth and tightly woven unlike some cheaper muslin I've seen. Will buy again when I need it!! (You get a good amount for the price!)

    Nice, Utilitarian, Inexpensive |

A little thin, but I was expecting that from the other reviews. I bought it to make dolls with, and it works out really well for that, although I'd prefer something a bit weightier. I'm pretty happy with it anyway, and will likely buy more to use for making muslin mock-ups of new patterns because the price is right. I think it would also make lovely smocking. I might have to try it.

    Decent Unbleached Muslin |
    Verified Purchase

This is a two-yard cut of unbleached muslin. If you're not aware, unbleached muslin is a plain, moderate-quality cotton that is a dark ivory or ecru color. Usually it's speckled with darker brown flecks. It's not really something you'd want to make a garment out of, but it's excellent for mockups. I go through yards and yards of unbleached muslin, stocking up whenever it goes on sale at the local fabric store, because it's my habit to sew a mockup of everything I make. Sewing a test version of the pattern, using cheap fabric, allows me to make sure of the size and fit before I cut into my good fabric. I insist that my sewing students make mockups, as well---not only to make sure the pattern fits properly, but also to practice any new or difficult sewing techniques the pattern calls for. You don't want to make mistakes with your more expensive fabric! I bought this muslin because it was a fair price and I was running low. As others have mentioned, it's a bit short of two yards, so if you're making a specific project where yardage is important, you'll need to order extra. Otherwise, it's a perfectly serviceable unbleached muslin. Four stars, because it's slightly less fabric than advertised, but otherwise, I'd recommend this to any and all sewers and crafters.

I love it! Perfect for crafting! Here's a fabric cuff bracelet I made with it! I will order again! I also purchased a lightbox (Artograph LightTracer Light Box 10 in. by 12 in) from amazon, to help me print the quote on my bracelet and I bought these pens (Staedtler Pigment Liner Bonus Sketch Set of 6 Liners for the Regular Price of 4(2 free), 308SB6P) too. I'm very pleased with my purchases.

Bought this in winter and didn't want to drive 20 miles through ice and slush to get to the nearest fabric store. I'm very pleased with the quality, and it was delivered very quickly and in perfect condition.
