    SEW ON |

I noticed that one of the other reviews gave this product a 1/5 stars because they could not figure out how to adhere their photos to the project they were working on and would like to clear that up. On the manufacturer's website it clearly states that: "Jacquard Inkjet Cotton Fabric Instructions: They are not transfer paper and do not contain any sort of adhesive. To adhere the fabric to your project you can sew or use a fusible bonding material such as Stitch Witchery, Fus-O-Bond, or Wonder Under Craft depending on the surface you are adhereing to." These are not a simple peel & stick product but a sturdier product meant to be sewn on or used with an adhesive.

The best fabric I've tried so far |
    Verified Purchase

I have tried quite a few different printable fabrics and this is the best one I've found so far. The texture is great and lines look very crisp. The other fabrics I have used fray more, don't have as crisp of lines, or are super tough and hard to sew. I would like to offer advice to anyone who wants to print on fabric and wants it to be washable: Buy a printer with pigment only ink. I purchased an Epson printer and their ink (DuraBright ultra) is pigment based and water insoluble. I can print on ANY fabric without having to pre or post treat it with chemicals and it DOES NOT wash out. I went through quite a bit of fabrics and quite a bit of trouble with my HP printer before I figured this out. The reason black seems to stay in for everyone but not the color is printers usually use pigment based black ink, but not pigment based color ink. So, in summary, I have used my Epson printer to print on this fabric and can run it through the wash without the colors running or being washed off completely. I did nothing to pre-treat the fabric expect iron it before throwing it in the wash.

Great Product for Memory Quilts and Art Quilts |
    0

I have used this product many times over the past 7+ years. I have used it to make memory quilts for my grandchildren. Even though the product is washable I would recommend rinsing it in Bubble Jet Rinse available from [...] if the quilt will be washed a lot. The pictures will fade with time if washed a lot, the Bubble Jet Rinse will help slow that down. I have also used this for my Art quilts. This product gives a great print. One word about the review that said the printed product was not as bright as the computer screen. Computer screens are not calibrated the same as a printer. Unfortunately sometimes it takes trial and error to find out how to adjust your photos. There are several good books available at Amazon by the experts on how to print pictures on fabric. They give you all the info an how to print and incorporate your photos into your project. Jacquard is a great company and manufactures artist grade products. I highly recommend this product.

    acceptable qualiry |

These fabric sheets are neither better not worse than most. They are not treated, though, and you will have to do it yourself. I did it by waiting 24 hours then ironed on my hottest cotton setting, placing a piece of parchment paper between the iron and the fabric in case some ink still came off. I then repeated 24 hours later. I then treated with BubbleJet Rinse and ironed again. There was a small amount of fading but not enough to make me start the process again. This is a good product if you need to print immediately and are willing to test the fabric yourself and willing to wait for the ink to set properly. However, if I weren't lazy, I'd pre-treat my own fabric and cut and iron to freezer paper, which produced much better results -- colors more vibrant and no fading.

    Doesn't hold ink, can't be washed. |

We use fabric sheets to print photos on and incorporate them in quilts. Have used them for years but had not tried Jacquard so thought i would give them a shot. I found that the print quality was poor, and then the instructions mention not for washable use unless you spray with Scotchquard. I sprayed the photos lightly as recommended and they started changing color. After 24 hours I rinsed in cool water as recommended and the color started coming off on the towel I laid them on to dry. Won't purchase again.

Works well, but avoid bright colors |
    Verified Purchase

I bought this for my wife to use for printing labels for the hand-painted and dyed silk scarfs which she makes. PROS: - Easy to use. Just follow the directions. - Looks sharp. The printing is clear and legible. - Holds black ink well. CONS: - The red ink blurred when it was sprayed with moisture protectant.

    great photo fabric |

Although this fabric does not work well with a laser jet printer, using it with the ink jet was simple and really top quality.I used this type of fabric about 8 years ago and must say there have been improvements, I would suggest this product hands down for creative projects

    Picture Transfers to Clothing |

This is ideal for transferring pictures to TShirts, pillow cases, tablecloths, etc. My Grandchildren loved the TShirts and pillow cases I made with their favourite pictures on them. I also used it to put an extremely complicated pattern on a tablecloth as a gift for an elderly friend. I had a very limited time to get it done and cross stitching it I would not have finished in time for her birthday and this was a very effective way to have the tablecloth completed.

Found exactly what I was looking to embroider. |
    Verified Purchase

its pretty awesome. It's thin and simple fabric. When laid in the printer, it prints smoothly. My mistake was printing on the wrong side first, so I flipped the fabric down with the paper up to print on the fabric. I let the ink dry over night before removing the paper back. No ink seeped through the paper; it's all on the fabric. I was able to embroider the fabric and it did well. Only downside was some threads were coming undone at the edges. For my project, it wasn't a big deal. If you are planning on using the whole 8.5x11 sheet, be gentle.

Whatever You Make With This Will Be for Display Purposes Only - color runs. |
    Verified Purchase

Don't believe anyone who tells you this is washable even in cold water; even if treated with Scotchguard. The ink runs at the hint of moisture. Maybe it was partially due to my printer's ink but still don't count on it lasting through washings. On the plus side; it fed through the printer with no issues - no paper jams, no curling, no blotching. The color was wonderful. I made this decorative pillow for a friend and it's cute as all get-out but she has been warned that it has a short live expectancy around any kind of liquid. I'm going to keep looking. Maybe a different archival ink for the printer would help.
