Good enough for me. Accurate but plastic. |

I use this stuff as a hobby to buy sterling rings. It IS accurate enough not to second guess anything. Both Rings & Mandrel work as intended. Both Rings & Mandrel are made of plastic. On the bright side; the mandrel ALSO HAS the markings & numbers engraved or indented into the plastic... so if the white paint happens to wear off you will still be able to see and feel the indentations of the mandrel. The Rings are a bit hard to read as the numbers are pretty tiny. Both do work well, as intended. The Ring sizing MATCHES the Mandrel sizing.

    Good product |

I thought this was the metal rings, but they were plastic. It may have said that in the description and I didn't pay attention. Anyway, it doesn't really matter as they still do what they are supposed to do. For the price I think this is a great bargin.

    Does the job... |

If you're just an individual looking to make sure that you know what finger an ordered ring will fit, this will do the job. I had thought it to be brass, but it's actually just gold plastic, and the mandrel is plastic too. Again, if you're a pro, move on... but this will do the job for the individual, and you can't really beat the price.

Plastic, not metal rings. Good for 2-3mm band width sizing. |

Like some other reviewers have mentioned, the rings came in blue plastic and not metal...as the picture makes them seem. Either way, they do the job just fine and it keeps the weight of the product down, too. The narrow nature of the plastic rings are also good for people who want a fit closer to 2-3mm width bands. To know how wider bands will fit, you'll need a metal ring sizer with wider ring widths instead of this one.

What would I do without them? |

I sell jewelry, and also buy jewelry! But sometimes I order a size (7) and when I get it the tag says (7), so I drop it into the bezel and then I can see the true (6) size! What would I do without it! I Carry the ring sizer in my purse, to size my family and friends. That way I will know what size gift to buy them! Right down to their pinky finger! Seller was very polite, and service was very fast and seller was very polite when contacted! Thanks!

    Super useful and convenient |

Super useful! There's also a metal loop at the base of the mandrel, so you can attach the ring sizers (the things that you stick on your fingers to measure their ring sizes; not sure what they're actually called) to it.

    Super cheap, inaccurate! |
    Verified Purchase

I'd read the other reviews about it being cheap and had low expectations, but never imagined it'd be to this extent. The mandrel is a hollow hard plastic that feels like a toy from China that even McDonald's would be ashamed to put in their happy meals. The seams where the plastic was fused poke outward, so you have to force your rings down the mandrel for a slightly more accurate sizing, which could damage said ring, and leave you with an entirely inaccurate sizing. The sizers are also rather bad. They're too thick, and just don't slide onto the fingers well. They also are a pain to separate on the chain, as either the chain's balls are too big, or the holes for the chains are too small -- either way, they do not move well on the chain they come with. The sizes on the rings are also difficult to see. Please don't waste your money on this.

Glad I Bought It- Works Great! |

I'm so happy I ordered this. I actually thought to buy this because I was looking at jewelry at a local pawn shop and felt uncomfortable asking the lady at the counter to measure each ring. With this handy little tool, I can do it myself and not feel like I'm bugging the sales person. I'm also selling off a bunch of my old rings and it helps me to know exactly what size they are so I can list them accurately. It is made of plastic, as are the rings, but I believe it's very accurate so I don't mind that it's plastic. It is a bit long but it fits in my larger purse just fine. By the look and feel of it, it will last a long time if taken good care of. The numbers on the sizer tool aren't just painted on, they're actually stamped INTO the tool so I don't believe they'll rub off too easily, if at all. I'd definitely recommend this nifty little tool to anyone thinking about it. There's a lot of value for the money here and why spend a fortune unless you're the owner of a higher end jewelry store.

Staple in my ring designing |

I shape and size all of my rings with this mandrel. There is a groove on the back that works well for holding a bead steady while wrapping wire around it. Sometimes it causes my wire to get a funny shape, but it's easily fixed. The sizer tool is handy for my special orders. Lots of people don't know their size, and this is much easier than using a piece of paper and measuring it.
