Cute Tags- Not Extremely High Quality |
    Verified Purchase

I bought these tags to make as an addition for wedding favors for a friend. Wooden gift tags are so unique because they can be kept as a gift themselves- along with the actual gift they're attached to. We actually attached these to key rings and then attached them to the gifts, so when people remove them they can keep them as key chains. It's a cute little keepsake- especially for people who were really involved in the wedding like the mother of the bride and groom and the bridesmaids. Her wedding theme was sort of a rustic country chic ordeal. Very sweet and simple. She didn't want anything overdone- but she wanted the romance to shine through in the decorations. Her wedding favors were organic willow trees, which I grew for her. But the trees themselves didn't really scream 'love'- so we added gift tags to them and grew them in small white pots. With trees, very rarely does a paper tag make it look... pretty. Instead it looked rather shabby. So we needed an alternative- yet something affordable. Wah-lah wooden gift tags! These tags are unfinished- which is nice because they then can easily be written on, burned, carved, etc. They are quite thin. And the balsa wood splits and breaks easily. I was kind of worried that not all of these tags would stay in good condition. They seemed quite fragile. But they all held up okay. The holes at the top were a bit 'rough' and made some of our tying twine fray. This wasn't a huge deal, but had I been a perfectionist it would have irritated me. The ONLY reason this product is rated four stars rather than five is because the wood is so thin and the holes had rough edges. Other than those two flaws though, these are definitely five star products. I used stamps to stamp these gift tags. On one side we wrote "To and From" in cursive lettering. On the other side we stamped either the word "Amour" or "Je t'aime" which are French and mean "I love you." and "Love.". With those two simple words, the trees were transformed from leafy beings to romantic symbols- and these wooden gift tags truly brought a romantic flare to the wedding favors. The ink dried perfectly. It didn't run- which happens A LOT with wood and was one of my biggest worries. But this wood was obviously well thought-through and the ink worked very well with it. The grains made no major impact on the quality of the stamped images. They were so popular that I ended up making another set for a different rustic themed wedding. This set had deer on one side and "To and From" on the other. I was worried the deer picture may run- as it had a bit more ink than the words had. But it also dried perfectly. I'm honestly amazed- as no other wooden products I've used have dried ink so flawlessly. I'll attach pictures of the tags, to show people how perfectly the ink dried. The wood made absolutely no impact on the quality of the images. It was literally like stamping on paper. All in all, I was very happy with these tags. They were affordable and worked very well with ink. I just wish they would have sanded the holes so the string wouldn't have frayed. And I also wished that maybe they'd make them a bit thicker so I wouldn't worry about the wood bending breaking so easily.

    Wood Burning |

These were the perfect gift tags for Christmas presents. I used our wood burning pen and made custom tags for each family member that can double as ornaments next year.

Creative uses for wood gift tags with or without paper. |

I am starting to use them to mark the wicker bins I use to store my paints, sprays, etc. Today I used one part of a gift, she can keep the wood tag & ribbon in her favorite color. Place on a card with their name written beautifully. If you purchase these tags, would you share your uses for them, for us? I hope you enjoy them.

These were perfect and worked extremely well for a project I needed to tag. I even use a wood stain to change their color and screen printed on them and they looked amazing. Lots of possibilites. Totally recommend!

    great tags |

We stamped a monogram letter on them and tied them with rafia on our centerpieces (mason jars with river rock and floating candles). They added a nice finishing touch ... couldn't give a #5 because we didn't get the full 50 in our package.

for as many as you get, it's worth the price. I searched several craft stores and could not find them. I will be using these for a really long time, Already started by taking the wood burner and burning names on them to decorate Christmas gifts. so much fun.

    Great for Christmas Wrap! |
    Verified Purchase

My Christmas Wrap looked fantastic! Use an extra fine black marker to write the recipient's name on one side and the giver's name on the back. Tie with amazon's Red Satin Ribbon (worth the wait when it's on back order!) or the Green Burlap String. Even Martha Steward would be proud!

These ended up being the perfect size to attach to gift bags |

These ended up being the perfect size to attach to gift bags. They looked awesome with burlap bags with ribbons strung through them. I had some Christmas stamps so I stamped each side, the bags were donated so I didn't need to write names. Many stamps would fit the area or if you write you will have enough for a small saying if you write small and plenty of room for a name. They look rustic and if you need to paint them they look like they would take paint just fine. . Loved using these and recommend them!
